Rongsheng Refractory has a strong R&D team, with more than 50 professional and technical personnel, and more than 20 people with middle and senior titles. Every year, we have more than 20 scientific research and development projects such as new product development, process technology research, energy saving and consumption reduction, and provide integrated solutions from product design to production services.  Facing the development of high-temperature industry, we actively cooperate with colleges and universities and research institutes in production, learning and research, import talents continuously, and devote ourselves to the R&D, production and technology integration of long-life, functional, energy-saving and green refractories with the spirit of continuous innovation, so as to continuously create greater value for high-temperature industry.


  • Haijun WangSenior Chief Engineer of CFB Boiler and Gasifier Lining Team

    Mr. Wang is a member of the editorial board of "China Circulating Fluidized Bed Power Generation" magazine, a thermodynamic engineer with 35 years of industry experience, and has participated in the design of circulating fluidized bed gasifier at the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, creating an industry record of 19 months of safe and economic operation of gasifier refractories design from outer wall temperature change.


    Mr. Wang specializes in the design and construction of refractories and insulation materials used in CFB boilers, pulverized coal furnaces, circulating fluidized bed gasifiers, boiling furnaces and other low and medium temperature furnaces; he has a complete set of solutions from design to construction and then to kiln baking in terms of boiler energy saving and environmental protection, redox acid and alkali atmosphere erosion, etc. He also has unique insights in the management of boiling furnace leakage.

  • Steven CuiChief Engineer of the R&D Team of Shaped and Unshaped Refractories

    Steven is a engineer in R&D of unshaped refractories. With 25 years of experience in refractory R&D, Steven is currently the deputy general manager of Rongsheng Group and the general manager of the Technical Department. Steven graduated from Liaoning University of Science and Technology, and has been engaged in the production, technology and sales management of the refractory industry until now. What is more, Steven has 12 utility model patents and 7 invention patents.


    Scientific research achievements and honors:

    1. The smelting and pouring ladle developed in 2016 has increased the service life from 10 days to 4 months.

    2. The new mold release agent developed in 2015 makes the high-nickel matte metal melt easily separated from the burial pit without penetrating into the melt;

    3. The new material for burial pit developed in 2015 was successful;

    4. The HD-9 special high wear-resistant brick developed in 2014 obtained a national patent, patent number: ZL 2014 10340775.3;

    5. The energy-saving HD-8 wear-resistant brick developed in 2014 obtained a national patent, patent number: ZL 2014 1 0340709.6;

    6. The antifreeze and refractory mortar developed in 2013 obtained a national patent, patent number: ZL 2012 1 0257584.1;

    8. The medium-quality mullite castable developed in 2012 was used in the coke oven door has made a breakthrough progress;

    10. The service life of the castable for the entrance of the large cement kiln developed in 2012 exceeded 12 months;

    11. The synthetic furnace burner brick developed in 2011 succeeded in replacing imports;

    12. The service life of the preforms of the top-blowing converter chute developed in 2011 exceeded 6 months;

    13. The copper chute developed in 2010 replaced the graphite chute with corundum silicon carbide composite preforms, which achieved huge economic benefits;

    25. The converter thermal spray coating developed in 2005 was successful, and the furnace life was increased by 8 furnaces with one spray;

    26. The copper smelting anode furnace developed in 2004 replaced the refractory brick with the tundish coating material and succeeded, which solved the problem of difficult copper infiltration during unpacking;

    27. The high-temperature heat-resistant thermal insulation material and its preparation process developed in 2003 obtained the national patent certificate. Certificate number: 03126179.5;

    28. In 2003, the light and heavy composite ladle lining brick was developed and won the third prize of Zhengzhou Science and Technology Progress Award;

    29. The zirconium-containing mullite steel fiber castable developed in 2003 has achieved good results in the use of alum-extraction rotary kiln;

    30. The castable for the furnace mouth of the converter developed in 2003 increases the service life of the furnace mouth by 5 times, saves a lot of manpower and prolongs the service life of the converter;

    31. The special magnesium-chromium steel fiber castable for nickel-smelting flash furnace developed in 2003 replaced Ogilvy’s products, saving a lot of costs and having significant overall economic benefits;

    32. Successfully developed ultra-low cement castables in 2002;

    33. In 2002, a breakthrough was made in the development of magnesium dry vibrating material for use in continuous casting tundish;

    34. In 2001, the development of corundum-spinel cement-free castable was used in large ladle with great success;

    35. In 2001, developed HA-80 chemically bonded ladle bricks and exported them to European customers of Belgian TRB company electric furnace ladle;

    37. In 2000, developed fast-drying and explosion-proof castables for large-scale blast furnace tapping yards, and realized the rapid repair of tapping for 8 hours after the blast furnace was closed;

    38. In 2000, developed and produced silicon-moulded bricks for the transition zone of large-scale cement rotary kilns;

    39. In 1999, designed and constructed a full set of refractory materials for Myanmar's 2000t/d cement clinker rotary kiln, and achieved production in one trial run;

    40. A 450M3 skimmer for integral ramming with no-baking ramming material developed in 1998;

    41. The castable for the large-scale tapping channel developed in 1998 was used in the tapping channel of the 1350M3 blast furnace of Anshan Iron and Steel Group, with a single pass of 100,000 tons of iron;

    42. The low-creep thirteen-hole checker brick developed for large-scale hot blast stove in 1998 won the bid of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group;

    43. The coating material for tundish developed in 1997 has made a breakthrough in the use of continuous casting tundish;

    44. The LPC chemically bonded high alumina brick developed in 1996 has made a breakthrough in the use of large alumina rotary kilns;

    45. The service life of the LPZ high alumina brick developed in 1996 on the alkali sulfide rotary kiln exceeded 8 months;

    46. The low creep high alumina brick developed in 1995 won the second prize of Henan Science and Technology Progress Award;

    47. The low creep clay brick developed in 1995 won the second prize of Henan Science and Technology Progress Award;
